Good Music Wins Out

Last night Mom and I headed into town for another paint party! Last time I went, Sydney and her boyfriend accompanied me, so naturally I looked forward to spending the evening with Mom sipping on some Malbec and exercising all of those (ok the few) creative juices I have.

Pinots Palette BovineThe night ended up being a great success. Thankfully, the rain and messy weather held off until we made it back home. I highly recommend going, at least once, to one of these studios. I have only participated in paint parties at Pinot’s Palette, but I’m sure they are all the same fun.

Once I dropped Mom off at her house and got back to mine, I was sure I was going to hit the bed pretty hard and have a wonderful sleep. But thanks to someone on Facebook raving about a CMA performance, I felt the need to turn the TV on and fast-forward my way through the award show. And actually, for the first time in a while, I found it mostly entertaining. Some of the humor was a bit forced and cliché but a handful of the performances were worthy of a rewind and re-watch.

So I thought I would share my some of my favorites:

The video from the CMAs I found was terrible, but this will do.

Ok even though this one isn’t really a performance, I thought it was noteworthy!

These performances caused a little feeling inside. And naturally that led me to staying awake until much past midnight. So this morning was less than fun. Not to mention the crazy dreams I had due to the early morning rain. Weird morning.

And now, I’m posting this in part because I miss posting ,and because exiting my parking garage will be a hassle this evening. Just before 4 PM today, someone thought it would be a good idea to leave a pipe bomb on a VIA bus, so the street outside of my building was shutdown by police until it was detonated and while they investigated. Thankfully, no one was injured. Crazy day.

  1. Lord knows I’m not going to spend any time watching the CMAs (maybe because I can’t stay up that late) but I really enjoyed watching the video of Stapleton/Timberlake. I can’t say I’ve paid any attention to Justin Timberlake but they did a great job on that throwback song!
