Catching Up

Fall-calvers Back Pasture

It’s been months since I’ve blogged, made biscuits or listened to Max Stalling, but it’s about dang time to I get back to all three of those glorious things.

Ok, to be fair, it has been almost 19 weeks since I last blogged, but about a month ago I finally started making biscuits and listening to good ole Max again. I’m weird, I’ll admit that. I attach memories to objects or activities and if I don’t want to think about something, I’ll shy away from those things that will get my brain ticking the wrong way! But man, I was missing my Saturday morning biscuits, and have you ever listened to a Max Stalling CD on a road trip? You need to. It makes the world feel right. And speaking of the world feeling right, me not blogging, felt so wrong! Nonetheless, each time I sat down to draft a post, it just didn’t feel right either. My heart wasn’t in it. After soaking up the outdoors, some sunshine, rainwater and other comings and goings, I’m going to try and get back at it. Your feedback, post ideas, questions, etc. are greatly appreciated as always!

In fact, I have ran into several people in the last two months that have complimented my blog and been so supportive. Y’all are the best, and I truly want to thank you for taking the time to read my posts. :)

Part of the difficulty in getting back to blogging, is the awkward feeling of what to write after such a hiatus. Setting aside discouragement, I got the idea of sharing some of my most favorite posts from the last three years or so. It was a fun exercise to venture back into the depths of sheerheart.org to find these. I found them to be inspiring and embarrassing all at the same time. I noticed how different my voice was in 2015 compared to earlier. Even though I found my posts to be more professional so to speak in 2015, I liked my random/off-the-wall posts from 2013 and 2014. They were fun and unique. So maybe I’ll try and take this a little less serious and mix in a few of those every now and then!

Alrighty, so I’m taking the approach of listing my most favorite posts that I would want someone new to my blog to read. My favorites, may not be your favorites, so comment below with yours from sheerheart.org!

That should be a good start! I’ve got to head home to cook supper up for my sister and cousin. The rest of the family is out of town registering another sister up for her freshman year at Texas A&M, how exciting?!?! More on that later.

Happy Wednesday all you wonderful people!
