Things Tuesday: 07/28/2015

Selfie with Ellie

It’s been a little while since I did a Things Tuesday post, but I’m back now and I have a few quality, or so I think, things to share with y’all! ONE It’s been a little while since I last shared anything Aggie-related. But this will make you smile and maybe even tear up, especially if you’re an Aggie! Tom “Ike” Morris, Class of 1933, is turning 105 years old on August 1, 2015. He is the oldest living Aggie. He graduated over 82 years ago. Let that sink in.…

Fave Photo Friday: Edition No. 11

Edition 11: October 23, 2014

Holy smokes! It’s Friday!! And I am currently sitting backseat in a truck, bound for Port Aransas. Excitement would be a total understatement. For the past few months I have played on a softball team in San Antonio and they are pretty cool cats, so yeah we vacation together now! But anyhow, this Friday’s picture is of my sweet puppy. She has had a rough week after being attacked by another dog on Sunday evening. Good news is that she is on the mend and doing much better. Otherwise, I…

I Love My Dog, But…

Howdy folks! Happy Tuesday. Hope everyone is having a splendid week. Here in San Antonio, Texas, we are enjoying Texas weather like none other, lows in the 50s, highs in the 80s. You really couldn’t ask for a more beautiful day than what its shaping out to be. As busy as work has been, I have found some time here and there to keep track, from a distance, of the Ebola-situation going on in Dallas. Crazy. Just crazy to think that the United States and Texas of all places is…

Doing “City Girl” Things

Ellie

Unlike most weekends that I write about, I didn’t go back home this weekend. Yep, I stayed in town, relaxed and did some “city things” as Grandpa would call them. The first of those city things, was heading back to the dog park to meet up with friends and their dogs. This would be the second time at the dog park for Ellie and me. This time we would be going on a Saturday morning. I braced myself for crowds, crazy dogs and parking. Ha turns out though, the parking…

First Dog Park Experience: Wow!

Dog Park

Well, I bit the bullet and really became a city slicker. I took Ellie to the dog park. I know it’s crazy but I have never been to an official dog park. I’ve been to parks with Ellie but they weren’t off leash and they definitely didn’t promote any doggie play that’s for sure. But wow, I was amazed at how great the experience was. Ellie is a pretty laid back dog, especially for a heeler. But then again you really never know what your dog is going to do…

Another One of Those Weekends

Well I am mighty glad I decided to get my Month in Review post out-of-the-way before this weekend. It was already a long post but after this weekend it would have been closer to half-a-novel. Oh and above is my darling little pooch, Ellie, in some blue bonnets out by my house. We have been working on the “Stay” command while in both “Sit” and “Down” positions. She has proven a worthy student. Or at least worthy enough for me to manage this picture! What a charmed life I have…

Give me a break. Give me a break.

On the Farm

I hope everyone just hummed the Kit-Kat commercial jingle in their heads, because I did! I really don’t need a break or at least too big of one. I just was thinking about how okay I would be with this weather if I was outside being productive. All of my life I have been extremely spoiled when it comes to opportunities to play and be outside. Rarely was there a time when I just couldn’t be outside. And those times it was probably lightning or I had inside chores to…
