Oh How Beautiful

South Texas Sunrise

Well it should be no surprise that this South Texas girl doesn’t prefer temperatures below 60° F, let alone those in the 30s! However, even I must admit the winter season has the ability to create some of the most gorgeous sunrises. Monday morning, I was ready to get out of the door and off to work before 7. But I looking out the window above our kitchen sink I saw the beginnings of what looked like a decently pretty sunrise. As I started the car to warm it up,…

Sneak Peek: @ the Gardens

Texas Military Engagement Photography @ Botanical Gardens, San Antonio, Texas // sheerheart.org

Rain or shine, I’m willing to give a photo shoot a go. Taking pictures on an overcast day, in the misty-rain, presents a set of challenges but also has its pleasant benefits.  Yesterday was awesome! And since last week’s sneak peek was so fun, I figured I’d do it again for this beautiful couple! Happy Monday!

Sneak Peek for the Grads

Emily & Jennifer November 9, 2014

Talk about a fantastic weekend! Downtown Friday night. Saturday, the Ags pull off the upset in Alabama against the Auburn Tigers. And Sunday, my camera and I were back at it. Few things feel better than taking pictures on a beautiful day. The more pictures I take of people I don’t know prior, the more I absolutely love what I am doing! It’s pushing me out of my comfort zone just enough to help me grow as not only a photographer but as a person as well. As corny as…

Howdy to Another Monday

Happy happy Monday! Looking like another beautiful Monday here in San Antonio. After such a gorgeous weekend, it was awfully hard to want to go to work this morning. Of course I’ll have to post later about my shenanigans this weekend, but that will have to wait for now. Because, right now is my Musical Monday feature! I have been working on trying to come up with a calendar for this blog so that I can stay focused and not go so long between posts. Last week my post was…

Another Day Older and Deeper in Debt

Tennessee Ernie Ford

Another day older…. true. Deeper in debt…. fortunately false! Thankfully the headline is not hinting at my current misfortune but indeed one of my favorite songs. Tennessee Ernie Ford’s 1955 hit “Sixteen Tons” has been one of my favorite oldies since I first heard it. It has a catchy tune and great lyrics. When you get down to the words line by line, they are oddly applicable to many modern situations at hand today, which is why I believe this song to still be so popular to cover amongst artists.…

I like my coffee black.

My dad should feel proud today. I have officially weaned myself off of creamers and any additives to my coffee. Well at least at home. Thanks to HEB’s amazingly yummy and aromatic Pecan coffee. If you haven’t tried it, you must! After the weekend I have had, 4, yes four, cups of coffee were needed prior to leaving my apartment. What a wonderful weekend it was spending time with both family and friends. I made a long-overdue trip to College Station on Friday. And of course visited one of my…

Another One of Those Weekends

Well I am mighty glad I decided to get my Month in Review post out-of-the-way before this weekend. It was already a long post but after this weekend it would have been closer to half-a-novel. Oh and above is my darling little pooch, Ellie, in some blue bonnets out by my house. We have been working on the “Stay” command while in both “Sit” and “Down” positions. She has proven a worthy student. Or at least worthy enough for me to manage this picture! What a charmed life I have…

Blue Ain’t the Word for the Way I Feel

Another weekend is in the books for 2013. We sure are getting awfully close to some important holidays, aren’t we? This post is for Grandpa… and well any other person out there who enjoys and appreciates good, honest music. I would say specifically country music but the artist I am featuring is known for some great crossover tunes. A long time ago, Grandpa told me that Ray Price was his favorite singer. Naturally since then, he’s been one of mine too. Such an honest voice. His songs are magic to…

A little dose of miniature donkey will surely make it a great day!

Happy happy Monday everyone! It’s time to kick another week in the tail. I don’t know how I will ever manage to get into gear today but I am definitely looking forward to my weekend in good ole College Station. I don’t know if it will be ready for me to come back so soon! This weekend had to be one of the most beautiful set of days. It was absolutely wonderful. We got a hint of true fall weather and yet the sunshine was so refreshing. I even had…
