Fave Photo Friday: Edition No. 9

I am still so stuck on Karissa & Richard’s photo shoot. I am absolutely in-love with the pictures of this stunning couple. So blessed to get to work with such happy, beautiful people! This is my absolute favorite, also great in black and white but I stuck with this one. I caught them when they weren’t even expecting a photo to be taken. I was supposed to be going to get the mule to bring around to them, but when I happened to turn around, I found them in one…

Feeling Sisterly

Howdy, howdy! Oops I’m still in full on Aggie mode after my trip to College Station this past weekend. But luckily I didn’t forget that I wanted to post the rest of these pictures from my little impromptu photo shoot with my little sisters two weekends ago. I have always known that I am extremely blessed with some wonderful sisters. All three of them are intelligent, funny, beautiful and unique. I really couldn’t have asked for better best friends in life. We keep each other entertained that’s for sure. They…

Baby Calf.. Wait it’s twins!

One of the best things about being around/involved with agriculture is the baby animals. What a phenomenon! Life taking shape right before your very own eyes. And to think the majority of others on this Earth have to watch Animal Planet or Discovery Channel shows to see something give birth and take their first steps. I can’t tell you how many baby calves I have seen in my life. Thousands, easily, though. It never gets old. This is the fun part, well usually. It’s also a great teaching point. All…

Loving the new baby calf. Not loving the time change.

Baby calves.. You really can’t get much cuter. Fuzzy, thick hair. Pink noses. Wobbly legs. We have been in calving mode for the last 60 days or so and I am sad to see it towards its end. Luckily we do various embryo work with some producers so I do get to see baby calves more frequently. It’s an absolutely amazing thing to me to think about. For first-calf heifers to know what to do when it comes time to deliver, then to have the instinct to clean off the…

A little dose of miniature donkey will surely make it a great day!

Happy happy Monday everyone! It’s time to kick another week in the tail. I don’t know how I will ever manage to get into gear today but I am definitely looking forward to my weekend in good ole College Station. I don’t know if it will be ready for me to come back so soon! This weekend had to be one of the most beautiful set of days. It was absolutely wonderful. We got a hint of true fall weather and yet the sunshine was so refreshing. I even had…

When Out for a Walk, You Can Catch Beautiful

Not as often as I’d like, I grab Ellie (my wonderful side-kick of a dog) and head out for a, less of a workout, more of a relaxation exercise of a walk. When out and about on our property and county road, I’ll get to see the baby calves growing like weeds, see the scissor-tailed flycatchers zooming from power-line to power-line, and some of the most beautiful scenery. I am not always able to bring my big camera along but like a normal girl in her early-20s I always have…
