I promise I was going to post this yesterday afternoon! But, my Mac decided that it was time to update to OS X Yosemite and it took for-ever. However, it was well worth it because I love the interface it provides and so far it has been running better :)
Also another wrench was thrown into my posting plans, when at work I was offered two tickets to the Tobin Center to see Cirque Dreams – Holidaze. And let’s be real when you get offered work tickets, it’s pretty hard to pass up the opportunity. On top of that, the Tobin is relatively new and I had never been in it.
So naturally I called up Sydney to see if she wanted to go with. It was super last-minute so you know my list of people I could invite was relatively small. She would be home so we could ride together. It would have been perfect. Except her darn boyfriend was over and she turned me down, womp womp. However, not too worry. My second choice was a wiser one anyhow. And that would be my beautiful grandmother. She had a wedding rehearsal, yep she’s a wedding coordinator, so she was already dressed pretty. All I had to do is pick her up from the church and then we were on our way.
It was a spectacular night. We had the best seats in the house. The performance was breath-taking and exhausting at the same time. True talent from the singing, to the dancing, to all of the bending and contorting. And oh the costumes!
And of course since in my last post I talked rather extensively about nail polish, I’ll give you a little update. My nails are now painted Mind Your Mittens another Essie color :) Thanks Sydney!
Now on to my Fave Photo Friday of the week!
Last Sunday, I had the wonderful opportunity to take my neighbors’ family pictures. What a precious little family. This isn’t my number one favorite picture of the bunch (that one is on their Christmas card, so I’ll post it in January!), but this one is about the spirit of doing family pictures.
Family pictures with little kids are tough. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t fun. You never know what smile/face or gesture the little ones will come up with and that’s why editing these has been so fun! Just watching sweet little Addy’s face and poses throughout the pictures is comedic enough!
So here’s to never knowing what faces they will be willing to give you and Mom and Dad grinning through it all. No need to stress about it always being the perfect picture. On the contrary, in my opinion it’s pictures like these that are the most talked about, most laughed about for years to come. Years from now I’ll be reminding Braxton of this face!
Beautiful family. Beyond lucky to call them neighbors AND friends!
