Big City Turn Me Loose, Set Me Free

03.27.2015 On Oats

Back in May of last year, I had posted a feature on some of my favorites from the great Merle Haggard, and here recently one of those tunes has stayed on the tip of my tongue. But no, I am not walking off of my job today! Ha, in fact other than my job, there has been a lot of change in my life here in 2015.

The most important change of all, would be my living situation! I have completely moved out of the city and out to the country. And you know what? I couldn’t be happier about that. Yes, my drive time to work about doubled, and I have to be in town a couple of nights a week for one commitment or another but it’s so worth it. So in a way, I’ve been turned loose and set free.

We have been blessed with a wonderful balance of rain and sunshine this year so far. Prayers every night in hopes that this continues on. With so much to be thankful for, there are of course some very photo-worthy moments. Sunrises and sunsets are always fun to take pictures of; however, if you keep up with my blog, you will probably know that some of my favorite things to take pictures of are animals, specifically cattle.

Last week, I went out after work into one of the oats patches and these calves were sure full of some curiosity! Enjoy!!
