Things Tuesday

Oh hey, June. Wait. Goodbye? How in the world do these months go by so fast. I’d understand it if I was jet-setting around the world every weekend, but unfortunately that is not the case. I guess splitting my time between work and play is catching up to me. Then again, maybe this is just a side-effect of growing up that I have to just learn to deal with.

On to my little list of randomness on this Tuesday. You may have noticed that this is not a Twelve Things Tuesday, rather lacking in a numeric definition. After eight of these posts, I realized that some of these got a little wordy and lost their relativity because I was so focused on that #12, not to mention the ridiculous amount of time putting these posts together. So rather than get frustrated with it and not do these posts anymore, I thought I would remove the lofty goal of 12 and leave it up to that day in time.

With that being said, I want to continue to focus on quality versus quantity. So here we go!

Things Tuesday

ONE Yesterday, the 29th, was my lovely father’s birthday! Having to put up with four daughters and a wife is quite the feat, but Dad does it superbly. Here’s my post from last year; all of it remains true if not so much more!

TWO For those who keep up with my blog, you know how much I love music, specifically old country music and of course Texas country. Naturally I found this link, Top 20 Texas / Red Dirt Country Songs for Newbies, interesting. Thursday, I’ll be posting my version of the list! But here is their playlist:

THREE Did you know that tonight we have a whole second more today than any other day in the year? Actually for the first time in three years, a leap second will be used to keep the clock in sync with our planet. It’s essentially a leap second that will happen tonight just before midnight.

FOUR Well another softball season has commenced. We had a few weeks off after we kicked butt last season and ended up with another championship. And if you look really closely, you’ll see someone on the front row as struggling to pretend to be as tall as everyone else!

FIVE RockportWell, well, well, to be honest, I’m struggling this week. I had one long, wonderful weekend down in Rockport with my boyfriend and his family celebrating the big 2-6! And let’s be real, my weekend was too good to want to come back to work! We did some fishing, baseball-watching, eating and much needed-relaxing. Thankfully, I brought my camera along for the boat ride (and it didn’t go for a swim!). Tomorrow, I’ll share with y’all some of the pictures I took! So stay tuned!

Alrighty, it’s time for me to get busy working on some Young Aggies of San Antonio events, but I’ll be catching up with y’all again tomorrow!
