Merry Christmas folks!
Yes, I’m a day late. But let’s pretend it’s Christmas morning again!
Finally, I can post some of my favorite pictures I have ever taken! Earlier this month, I had several Christmas pictures shoots. But because I didn’t want to take the surprise away from the people receiving the Christmas cards, I refused to post any until after Christmas. Possibly over-thinking this, but ah well.
Anyhow, I had the privilege and the pleasure of taking pictures of the Crisp family for the second year in a row. These kids are absolutely darling. I look forward to watching them grow up from behind the lens!
More holiday pictures to come soon. :)
A couple of weeks ago, I had the opportunity to take engagement pictures for this wonderful couple, Eric and Kelsey. They were so much fun! Even Ellie got in on the action acting as our guard and my assistant, obviously.
With all of the green grass around, it is hard to believe this picture was taken in November!
This had to be a quick post, about to head off on a road trip to Louisiana. Let’s pray that my Aggies BTHO lsu tomorrow. Fingers and toes crossed!
Next to my fondness of black and white photos would be my feelings toward picture of railroads. Don’t ask me why, but I have always thought those photographs of railroads to invoke a special feeling.
This past weekend, I had the opportunity to photograph a couple’s engagement pictures out on our place. One of my favorite spots to take pictures is on these tracks. We had been trying for weeks to get these pictures taken, but Mother Nature had continually been blessing us with rain. Thankfully, however, she held off for a couple of hours for us to sneak these in! This happened to be the very first picture I took checking my camera’s settings out and what not. After I had moved the files over to my computer, there was something about this picture that stuck in my noggin.
Simple, but timeless.
Of late, I have been in the Pearl Brewery area taking pictures for Dhruvi and her blog, Stilettos And Sequins. We’ve been meeting there around 7:30 in the mornings, before work, so she can post on her site twice a week or so. I’ve not only enjoyed the experience of taking pictures there, but the atmosphere is so perfect. In the mornings, it’s quiet and beautiful. Even through the fog, we’ve had to deal with the past couple of times. There are several places to grab coffee or breakfast. Hopefully I’ll get a review and some of my pictures from Bakery Lorraine up soon. That place.. well I can’t tell you, that would ruin my review!
BUT the whole point is to share this B&W of one of the neatest art pieces there. It’s weird but eye-appealing all at the same time. Looking forward to finding more neat places in San Antonio. Do you have any suggestions??
Happy Friday y’all!
I don’t know a better way to close out the month than with a picture of such a great, beautiful couple. Amanda, a friend of mine since childhood, met Josh on our city league softball team, Cleats & Cleavage, this past year. Ever since we’ve known this would come. So excited I could be apart of this special time in their lives!
It hasn’t been the most fun last couple of days. Yesterday, not only did I watch my Aggies take a beating and look like crud, I also started feeling sick. Sure enough, I came down will my yearly case of strep throat. After a visit to Texas MedClinic and a shot (not in my arm….), I was sent back home for a day of ibuprofen every 4 hours, Gatorade out of a sippy cup, and quite the nap. But now, I’m feeling a little more productive, so I figured I’d catch up on a little blogging!
In the last couple of weeks, I have been working with Dhruvi. She is also a blogger! Check out her blog, Stilettos And Sequins! Her last 3 posts feature my photography. I’ve been loving our work together as it pushes me out of my comfort zone and always gives me a new challenge. Looking forward to our future work together!

It’s Fri-day, it’s Fri-day! < insert happy dance >
Well it’s been way too long since I last had a Fave Photo Friday post! But I just had to share this one from a shoot I had earlier this month. I will have more to share of sweet, happy Mila, but that will come later when she turns the big 1 year old! But this picture. Y’all I absolutely adore black and white pictures. And this was a picture that accidentally got taken during an outfit change and camera adjustments! But cute kids make taking pictures real easy :)
Happy Friday and BTHO bama!
Woohoo! It’s Friday and I’m posting again for the 3rd time this week! Baby steps :)
Anyhow, if you checked out yesterday’s post, you’ll recognize this picture. But I wanted to post it as my Fave Photo Friday, because there is just so many things I love about this picture.
First off, the colors are so bold and vibrant. The bluer than blue sky last Friday made for such a perfect backdrop on so many of those pictures I took. Secondly, the angle I thought to take this photo with adds a different point-of-view rather than just straight on. If I’m not mistaken there were cars parked in front of this wall so taking a straight on picture wasn’t really going to work out. Therefore, when in doubt look up and take the picture! And lastly, this is so so far away from my normal Fave Photo Friday pictures. This isn’t of a sunset, a species of animal, a cute kid or couple in love. This is a picture of a demented looking creature that has been spray-painted on the side of a building.
It’s just enough of that crazy-weirdness that sorta grows on you. The more and more I look at it, the more I kind of want to print it out and frame it!
Well I hope you all have a fabulous Friday and Easter weekend!
Holy smokes, it’s been a long while since I have done one of these, actually it’s been a long while since I posted at all. But I promise there will be another post today detailing all of my exciting and not so exciting comings and goings of the last month and a half!! But I had to get you this one as soon as possible so the other can wait!
If you look back at my past Fave Photo Fridays, you should be able to infer just how much I love everything about nature, particularly the beauty of sunrises and sunsets. If there is no other time, you believe in God, watching the sun rise or set should give you some belief in him. How else would we blest with such breathtaking things that come and go not by our choice or control.
Yes, we have cameras to catch these moments in a still photograph, but I have come to realize the most beautiful ones are when we don’t have a phone or camera nearby and you just have to take it in for yourself. Those stick in my mind for at least the morning drive to work and most often throughout the day. And sunsets leave me with the most peaceful thoughts to round out my night. Every time I see a beautiful sunrise/sunset, I try to keep my mind in the present so that I may enjoy it fully, because wouldn’t it be a tragedy to never see one again?
Well I’m here with my Fave Photo Friday, as promised in my post yesterday, just in time before your weekend starts! This picture was taken at the Ciblio Nature Center outside of Boerne, Texas, on a gorgeous day. There was a break in between all of the cold and I caught this golden beauty. Can’t wait to get this printed and hung in my new place!! Have a great weekend y’all!
